Fixed 0–100 scale from the full Google export (2004–2026). The 5- and 10-year views crop this same series; they do not rescale it. Each comparison has its own reference scale.

Data verification and methodology
Original monthly CSV exports downloaded from Google Trends. Dates, terms, regions, continuity and the 0–100 bounds were checked. Values are stored unchanged; there is no interpolation or live feed.
Google uses a sample of searches and normalizes interest for time and location. 100 is the peak within the source comparison, not 100 searches or 100%. Zero may mean insufficient volume; it does not prove that nobody searched. A later export can differ because of sampling and normalization.
These are literal search terms, not Google Topics. Their spelling is preserved in every interface language; terms such as gold or bonds can have non-financial meanings. Search interest does not measure asset prices or investors’ positions.
The old intraday snapshot is no longer used: its unexplained zero run and missing timezone could not be verified.
— means missing or below the measurable threshold; such values are not replaced with zero in averages.
