Ranks refer to countries with available observations; ties share a rank. Shares use the source’s world total, including after filtering. Absence from the dataset does not imply no production.
Poland / production profile
Latest dataset year for each category. The country selection is shared with the map.
Compare each category separately. Value added, tonnes and TWh are never combined into one economy score. Fuel TWh measures energy content, not electricity.
What do we measure?
Total industry is compared using value added at constant prices: domestic output less intermediate consumption. The other categories measure physical production of individual goods in tonnes or energy units. Data refers to the place of production, not the nationality of factory owners.
Total industrial production 2000–2024
Industry value added: mining, manufacturing and electricity, gas and water supply (ISIC Rev. 3 C–E), excluding construction. UN data in billion US dollars at constant 2020 prices. This measures industrial scale after subtracting intermediate consumption, not sales or the official industrial production index (IIP). YoY changes and the rebased index use the same real series. UNSD supplements incomplete national reports with estimates. Shares are based on 2020-price values, not current nominal shares or PPP. Source footnotes explain classification and valuation differences.
Data retrieved: 2026-10-01. Tanzania: sum of mainland and Zanzibar for matching years. Negative value added is preserved.

Crude steel produced domestically before further processing, in million metric tonnes. The worldsteel table covers 50 major producers; the world total also includes other countries. “e” identifies a source estimate.

Cereals harvested for dry grain, including wheat, maize and paddy rice, in million metric tonnes. 2023 is the latest broadly comparable year in the retrieved World Bank dataset. Incomplete 2024 observations are excluded from the ranking.
FAO · World Bank, AG.PRD.CREL.MTElectricity 2000–2025
Annual electricity generated from all sources, in TWh. This measures output, not installed capacity or consumption. Ember and Energy Institute data processed by Our World in Data. The latest year covers fewer countries than the historical series.
